Monolithic Flash Recovery

Monolithic devices encase all their components inside a single chip vs. traditional flash devices where all the components are separate. When flash devices fail sometimes it’s necessary to read the flash memory chip however since the memory chip is encased in a single chip it isn’t possible to remove the memory chip and read it. Monolithic chips can be found in almost all devices including flash drives, SDĀ cards, and MicroSD cards.

Data Recovery

Data recovery involves removing the black solder mask and making contact with the tiny wires underneath. It’s very time-consuming complex work that requires special equipment and training to perform.

Cost

Due to the labor required to recover monolithic devices, we can’t charge our standard rates and must quote the job out on a case by case basis.
