Fun X-Ray Tech

We have a high resolution X-Ray machine now for identifying internal faults inside IC’s. For example this Lexar Monolithic Flash Drive (FC1178 Based) had a short at the controller preventing us from reading the flash memory chip using standard pin-out methods. Knowing where the short was allowed us to disconnect (cut) the appropriate trace and get access to the memory chip.
